A gifted orator, Woodrow Wilson was supremely confident before crowds, yet uneasy in small groups. An intellectual with inflexible moral principles, he led America into World War I, threatening all that he cherished. This miniseries recalls the transformation of a history professor into one of America's greatest presidents, brought down by his stubborn search for peace and an incapacitating stroke. Narrated by Linda Hunt.

Wilson:Racist Post-Slavery President

By Just Another Proud American

from Strong Island NY

Comments about PBS American Experience: Woodrow Wilson DVD:

A President who 1] sends U.S. Military into more countries-- Caribbean countries and Mexico and the "new experiment with 'freedom' in the nascent Soviet Union 2] praises the "The Birth of a Nation" as sad but true history, a position that assists in the re-birth of the Ku KLux Klan K 3] re-segregates Federal buildings in Washington D.C. 4] with utmost determination wants to engage the U.S. Military in World War I and is assisted by the Morgan's and the "stink of the corporate elites" 5] conceives a world in which the .05 of white male murderous thugs will "democratically" rule their small populations while maintaining their colonial, murderous empires ---- perhaps in an ironic, paradoxical sense to the real America, as the White Rulers see it, Wilson was one of the greatist imperialist, racist, elitist, anti-democratic Thugs!! So long live PBS -- a partial pawn of the plutocracy
