I have been a fan of this series for a couple years...before that-Morse. This series can be watched over and over with a pot of tea and a good scone-even my husband stays interested. The crimes are creative, the characters are perfect in their roles, and the countryside is absolutely lovely! One of the best British series out there. I hope PBS runs more of the series. We need to have adult entertainment to enjoy without all the in-your-face violence, language and sex pushed at us nowadays. Hope this helps anybody thinking of buying the series.

We now have the total collection of Midsomer Murders. It is pleasant to watch two detectives not wearing guns solve the murders. No blood and no violence. During this entire series (16) we have the same wife for Barnaby and the same daughter. It was enjoyable watching the physical change of each over the years. We feel that we know this family so well.
