At my graduation from the University of Wisconsin in 1955, Frank Lloyd Wright received an honorary degree, recognition that was not without controversy. Mr. Wright had said some unkind things about the University in the past, and some faculty were opposed to the honor. While in Madison I also attended a service at the Unitarian Church in Shorewood, a Madison suburb, which he had designed, and hear him deliver the "sermon;" as was the custom, the congregation rose to its feet as "Mr. Wright" (as he was always known) entered. No wonder he was controversial. In the years that followed I visited many of his buildings, and was continually amazed by both his talent and his eccentricity. But I knew little about his life; in this respect, the film was a revelation. It seems more a work of fiction than of reality, and yet it actually happened. Even if one doesn't have an abiding interest in architecture, the film offers a great deal to wonder about. A genuinely superlative biography.

First, the film and content is awesome. This is what turned me into a true FLW fan.
However, the quality of the transfer from film to digital is horrible. The film appears to be encoded at a very low bit-rate. Many of the scenes are almost blocky or washed out. When you are trying to view FLW's builds and the awesome cinematography it gets very distracting.

I watched this at the time I was reading Loving Frank. Very enlightening film. It was incredible to see actual film footage of Frank Lloyd Wright, and hear comments from his grandsons. A must see if you are a fan.
