Story of England

Comments about PBS Michael Wood's Story of England DVD:

I have read many books that are focused on England, but never had an over all understanding of the history and this does a perfect job of making the country come alive for me. My grandmother was a Brown and when they went into the 1300's Brown home I could put myself there. I hope you do some more of this type of story telling.

Comments about PBS Michael Wood's Story of England DVD:

Have been watching this on PBS and plan on buying the DVD for Christmas gifts. This is a fantastic show--entertaining, beautiful filmed, excellent research, fascinating history and archaeology, gorgeous scenery, and of course Michael Woods is great. I would recommend this to anyone, perfect for all ages, history buffs, travel buffs, Anglophiles, genealogists. The best history show I've ever seen. Love it!
