Excellent follow on to the continuing Morse/Lewis saga. Never a dull moment in what could easily be an overworked story.

I have watched this so many times. I love the story, writing, acting with all the brilliant nuances. I miss Morse so much that this was a treat to watch. Please keep bringing more of this series and of course, Inspector Lewis. Bravo!

This is a beautifully done prequel to the Inspector Morse series. Shaun Evans plays young Morse with a quiet intensity, passion, earnestness, and subtlty that honors the sensitive work of the late, and indeed much-missed, John Thaw. It would certainly be a treat to have this be developed carefully---not quickly---into a series. With Inspector Lewis, such a series would definitely bring back all that was compelling about the old Inspector Morse series.

Outstanding acting & storyline! With Inspector Lewis and now Endeavour Masterpiece has brought back a bit of Morse/John Thaw who is still missed.
