I am absolutely loving the new characterizations & updating to modern times. Cumberbatch is perfect as Sherlock & keeps just an edge of personal mystery to keep us guessing about his personal thoughts & demons. The Robert Downey versions "update" with excessive gratuitous violence instead of the use of Sherlock's mind. This PBS version is how it should be done. Looking forward to the next season.....

This remake of Sherlock is by far the best and most enternaining I have ever seen! Wish there were more than five stars to score it. The wit, humor and "modern" style is so refreshing. All the actors are superb- and Benedict and Martin are a perfect match! I have watched it on TV and now am enjoying it for the limited time on the internet. I have never done this before but I intend to purchase the entire series (via computer or dvd) as it becomes available. BRAVO to all for such fine work. I do hope you give us many more series to enjoy!
