Futuristic, yet true to form.

Comments about PBS Sherlock Seasons 1 & 2 DVD Combo (Original U.K. Unedited Edition):

The best show I've seen in a very long time. Ever wonder what "the master of deduction" would face 21st century? This show explores the issue brilliantly, tying up the the suspense, logic and characterization of Arthur Conan Doyles work with spots of biting British humor. More cerebral than the Robert Downey films, this version does not compromise integrity for action Thc actors are magnetic and well-cast. The camerawork/visuals are cleverly handled. The plots are intricate enough to warrant repeat viewings, and it's fun to discover elements and subtleties of the original stories the producers have included. I LOVE this show, and I'm looking forward to future episodes.

Comments about PBS Sherlock Seasons 1 & 2 DVD Combo (Original U.K. Unedited Edition):

I love Masterpiece Theater's version of Sherlock Holmes. I love Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock, can't get enough of him in this role. I also love Martin Freeman as Dr Watson, he's a perfect match for Benedict. Honestly I'm totally addicted to this presentation. It's hard to wait for each new season to arrive so owning the series is the only way to to get through. It's that good. Thank you Masterpiece Theater!

Loved, loved this new version

Comments about PBS Sherlock Seasons 1 & 2 DVD Combo (Original U.K. Unedited Edition):

I am absolutely loving the new characterizations & updating to modern times. Cumberbatch is perfect as Sherlock & keeps just an edge of personal mystery to keep us guessing about his personal thoughts & demons. The Robert Downey versions "update" with excessive gratuitous violence instead of the use of Sherlock's mind. This PBS version is how it should be done. Looking forward to the next season.....
