Series 5 is my favorite. I get a kick out of the way Doc hauls the baby around. The sweetest scene is when Doc tells Louisa it's "James Henry". I've been through the series (1-5) ab't 6 times, now. It has a permanent home in my little kitchen TV and I play it as I chop, dice, cook, and clean-up. I feel I'm part of the Portwenn family. I'm looking forward to Series 6! (btw, I could eat Pauline with a spoon)

I'm with Mrs. Tishell. I'd take Doc Martin just as he is. I don't need all the sentimental hog wash. Just give me a take-charge man who is dependable and gets the job done (and cooks! too). The whole series is addictive and the actors do a great job. They fit their part. Great writers!

It is just the perfect story. So British, so eccentric.
Doc Martin is a pleasure to watch.
Martin Clunes is excellent , so are the other actors.
I love Great Britain and I enjoy the British sense of humor.
I just cannot stop watching it.
The music is also very nice.
The new aunt is perfect.
Port Isaac is such a lovely place.

I saw one episode on TV and couldn't wait to see the episodes one at a time. I bought the entire series. Martin Clunes is excellent and his interactions with the other characters is histarically off the chart. The character development of this series is excellent. I feel like I know the whole community.

Love the series; love the ready availability of the DVD's thru PBS. Love PBS totally and am happy to be able to acquire these recordings of my favorite shows for frequent "on demand" viewing. Keep up the good work!
