I think Michael Feinstein's quest to archive and preserve anything and everything concerning the Great American Songbook and all that entails is such an important mission. Michael seems perfect to champion this cause as his attention to detail is exquisite. This is truly someone I believe should be honored by The Kennedy Center for his arts preservation work and his quality performances.

Everytime I tune into PBS and Michael Feinstein's American Songbook is on - it makes a dreary day seem bright. I, too, grew up as a child a fan of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and more when Elvis and the Beatles were the rage. I feel a deep kinship to the music of Michael Feinstein. He brings the era I should have lived in to life. Thank you for so much joy.

Accidently tuned in the show on local PBS and it made my otherwise ordinary day a winner!. Could not wait to order a copy. It is a must for anyone interested in music and musical history.
