Being from Central PA, I have grown up around the Amish and have visited many Amish communities. I have been to Lancaster County numerous times, and I enjoy each time as much as the last. I never get tired of "seeing" the Amish or the towns in which they live. This American Experience is so extremely well done -- I loved the historical accuracy and the personal recorded interviews from the Amish. The instrumental music is beautiful and moving. American Experience did an incredible job of taking the time to portray the Amish in a way that was both reverent, respectful and truthful. If you are fascinated by the Amish way of life and wish to learn more, you will be not be disappointed!!
