It is a real plus to have these "American Experience" DVD's. This is a wonderful way to get historical knowledge and also to keep up with the changes in our cultures. This particular one is very thorough. Photography is great. The scenary is very appealing. All-in-all, a really good product.

This film gives a "real live," glimpse into the lives of the Amish; a wonderful, but often mysterious people. With comments from members and a lot of footage, the viewer gets a chance to get about as "up close and personal," as most of us will ever get.

More about the Amish is becoming public and people are thirsty for this info because it has been such a secret for all these years. I liked how educational it was, especially about MAP in Ohio helping those who leave and not just letting them flounder in the mainstream english world and get in trouble. We need more like this.
