It is very deceptive to call the U.K. version the unedited version, when the episodes aired in the U.S. include bits of scenes that have been deleted from the U.K. dvds. I guess they must remove parts of scenes to make room for commercials in the U.K. versions. Very disappointed to see my dvds do not include all the footage the U.S. aired on PBS.
The Book is lovely, the CD is boring, and does not include the song the Matthew and Mary dance to while Lavinia is sick.

This set is incredible, in quality and in value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Downton Abbey, or as a gift for those who have yet to meet the people of this house. I am unable to put the beautiful book down! It and the Soundtrack CD are perfect companion pieces to the DVD set.

I really enjoyed the this wonderful set and my friends who have watched with me also enjoyed it. This series is so interesting I can't wait for Season 3, and I hope many more seasons.
When you see the way the British classes are protrayed and the interaction between them come alive you'll want your own set.

This rates right up there with Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Predjudice...Can't wait for the next season to begin!!!!!!!

I was so excited to get my package, and still am. I didn't hesitate to watch the last episode which of course was amazing. The book that accompanies this package is fabulous, I haven't been able to put it down. As for the CD, watching the series you really don't notice how spectacular the music is until you hear it on it's own. I'm so glad I bought the entire package - it's also the perfect gift for so many of my friends.
