Comments about PBS Masterpiece Mystery!: Inspector Morse Set Eleven: The Wench is Dead DVD:

This is the last DVD in the series of Inspector Morse. I cried like a baby at the death of Morse. I'm so happy that I have the DVDs to watch over and over again. I would miss John Thaw as an actor if I didn't have this series to enjoy time and time again. I'm so happy that the Endeavor series will continue the series in another time element with a young Morse. Thank you, PBS, for this endearing series on DVD.

I broke out in tears in the final scene when Lewis leaned over and kissed Morse on the forehead as he lay on the gurney. I will miss John Thaw.

This movie does play on American dvd players. I had wondered about that. If you buy from most other places the videos may not be made for the USA but all the movies bought directly from the PBS shop are and are. Thank you, PBS. :D What a wonderful organization with quality programs.

Comments about PBS Masterpiece Mystery!: Inspector Morse Set Eleven: The Wench is Dead DVD:

At this stage of the Inspector Morse stories I don't expect to figure out the ending, but the perpetrator(s)always seem to be the character(s) one least suspects. I grew up reading Mickey Spillane, who used the same technique, so this is not a bad thing.

Comments about PBS Masterpiece Mystery!: Inspector Morse Set Eleven: The Wench is Dead DVD:

The entire Morse series is great, but these last episodes are as good as anything ever on the small screen. "Remorseful Day," the series ender, takes the cake. You must see it after seeing earlier episodes. In it there is sex, crime and dishonesty. There is also love, loyalty and the death of a modern hero. .
