This item perfectly complements the entire Diownton Abbey offering from PBS. I thought it helped the audience to feel the emotions of the characters and highlighted their life experiences and underscored all the mystery,sadness romance and joy of the Abbey and the times in which it existed.

Dissapointed in male singing If you were the only girl in the world song...it was poorly done compared to Edith playing piano while Mary sang..with Matthew chiming in as seen in series II..It was a huge disappointment as that WAS the Soundtrack! Cmon..get it right..his voice did not fit in at all!.It was just. Not the sweet voices that were portrayed with much emotion..with the war going on..maybe the will get it right??

Much, much better than expected. The book that came with it was so informative,making the dvd much more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this enough

We played the music during dinner as background. Heavenly! Makes for a seriously civil dinner conversation but not quite soap opera. We'll play it until Season III. (is that like Super Bowl XLVI?)

The theme song and all other musical pieces are very refreshing and good. But, I would like the dancing music in the dancing scenes be included in the disc. That would be perfect.
