"These Amazing Shadows" is one of the best new docs I've seen in 2011. It's good enough to use as a teaching tool to discuss the significance and history of films, too.

The title enticed me to watch. I couldn't take my mind off the contents. My husband and I are watching it for the second time as the concepts are so meaningful about being sure to have reverence for the history and American culture film making has captured for all time.

Actually saw this film at a private screening at Sage Hill School in Newport Beach through the Newport Beach Film Festival organization. I wanted to have my own copy to share with my husband who was unable to make it to the screening.
