This film is about the relationship between parents and children through the shared experience of wartime service. The film tells the stories of several families where one or both of the parents served in Vietnam and one or more of the children served in Iraq. Through these interviews, the subjects reveal in a frank and candid manner their feelings about their military service and combat experiences, and how that shared experience has affected their family. Fascinating, compelling and occasionally heart-wrenching, "My Vietnam, Your Iraq" is a thought-provoking testimony about the complexity of war and its effects on the family unit.
