My whole family and I abolutely love this series.It brought back very fond memories of the original series which we watched in black and white.It compares very favorably to the first series so it is a shame that it was cancelled! We would so have loved to see more!

I enjoyed the program but understand that this was a series in the UK (didn't get picked up for a third season). Wondering if they are going to places those on DVD? On the whole it was a good story. I used to watch the original and loved it. Always looking for quality TV.

The continuation of the story is excellent, picking up with Rose coming back. The actors are very good, also, particularly Rose. Seeing the mansion restored should appeal to young and old. The color is stunning! I hope this series will be continued because it covers a very important time in the history of England. Younger viewers will learn about this era and can still identify with the characters and their very universal aspirations.

I have not watched the series as yet - it is a gift for a friend, but I did see a couple of episodes on PBS and they brought back old memories of watching the original series, without fail, every Sunday evening, when the children had to be fed, bathed, and ready for bed so that Mom could watch her favourite TV show! Thanks PBS for the memories.
